Visteon is a global technology company that designs, engineers and manufactures innovative cockpit electronics and connected car solutions for the world’s major vehicle manufacturers. Visteon is driving the smart, learning, digital cockpit of the future, to improve safety and the user experience.

As a member of the Visteon senior leadership team in the UK Claire has multiple responsibilities associated with the UK legal entity and Visteon as a whole.  One of Claire’s main roles is in the area of business and relationship development.  This is not solely with Visteon’s established customers, but predominantly with technology companies, UK academia, local and national government, and industry bodies. 

Claire has more than 35 years of experience in the automotive industry in engineering, customer group and business roles across Ford Motor Company and Visteon.  In recent years Claire has worked to established Visteon as a key stakeholder in the field of connected, and highly automated vehicles in the UK developing strong working relationships with major stakeholders in this field, i.e. Infrastructure providers, telecoms and government.

In her role as a STEM ambassador, Claire works to support schools in the Essex area to develop an interest in the STEM subjects in pupils from year 6 onwards, and to improve the diversity and inclusion of the technology arena.  To this end she is also a member of the CBI Women in Technology, and Automotive Council Diversity and Inclusion working groups.

Claire hopes that her knowledge of cross sector collaboration can help Success Essex develop mission solutions that are investment efficient, technology appropriate, and provide the social and economic benefits that the county requires.

Claire has a BSc (Hons) in Combined Technologies specialising in Control Systems and an MBA.
