Graham has recently retired as the CEO of the major regional charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).  During his time with EACH he oversaw the completion of two new hospices in Ipswich and Norwich.  The charity is recognised as one of the world’s leading children’s hospices and became the first Royal Patronage of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.

Graham joined EACH in 2003 after taking early retirement from the NHS where he spent 17 years as Chief Executive of various NHS organisations in Essex. Prior to joining the NHS Graham held senior posts in HM Customs & Excise and the Department of Health.  

In 2003 he was elected to Braintree District Council becoming the Council Leader the following year.  He is the longest serving Council Leader in Essex.  Graham has also been a member of Essex County Council since 2009 and serves on Great Notley Parish Council.

At present he also on SELEP, Success Essex, Essex Health & Well-being Board, the East of England Local Government Association, the Great Notley Country Park Board, and Transport East. He is also a non-remunerated Director of North Essex Garden Communities Limited.

In his much younger days Graham obtained a BA (Business Law) degree and from 1979-1993 was Football & Premier League match official.
