Adam Jones - Inclusive Growth

Adam Jones was a guest speaker at The South East LEP's (SELEP) Delivering Inclusive Growth event which took place at Harlow College on the 27th September.

Both the ESB and SELEP are committed to achieving inclusive growth, ensuring that all in society can benefit from significant opportunity such as Public Health England’s relocation to Harlow.

Working with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), local authorities and a range of other partners this event was another step in delivering against that commitment.

Louise Aitken, Skills Lead for SELEP, said ‘We were very pleased to hold an inclusive growth event with Public Health England, Robert Halfon MP, Dame Carol Black employers and stakeholders. We’re keen to ensure that everyone in society benefits from growth such as Public Health England’s relocation to Harlow. This was the first step in delivering against our new skills strategy and ambitions for an inclusive economy and we’re looking forward to working with partners to deliver this.'

Adam Jones, ESB Chair, said 'The ESB believe in working in partnership to help support our ambition to create a world class skills system in Essex. The ESB look forward to working closely with the SELEP to help deliver inclusive growth throughout Essex.'

The SELEP launched its five year skills strategy on the 24th September 2018, you can find out more about this on the SELEP website.
