ESB Attends Essex Social Care Sector Awards

The ESB was invited to the Essex Social Care Sector Awards “The Prospers 2018” which was held on 4 December 2018 at the Chelmsford City Racecourse.

Nicola Faulkner (ESB Secretariat Lead for Health and Social Care) was invited to sit with colleagues from the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and colleagues from Corner House Care Ltd ( a local care provider based in Clacton, Essex).

Corner House had been shortlisted for 2 awards – the Outstanding Leadership Award and the Unsung Hero Award. Yashveen Kowlessur, received a highly commended award as an outstanding leader at Corner House and Holli Jamnitzky won the unsung hero award for her dedication as a volunteer who has been coming to Corner House every week to support activities in the care home. Holli helps out week in week out with flower arranging, karaoke sessions, manicures, garden games or taking Marbles the rabbit around the home for cuddles.  Holli is a truly exceptional young person and has now been employed as a health and social care apprentice.
