We were pleased to support the recent Essex Network4Careers conference held at Writtle College on Friday the 14th of July.

Tristan Smith from the ESB’s secretariat delivered a workshop session to careers practitioners from across Essex. This session focused on the local labour market utilising information from our latest skills evidence base.

Tristan said “The network4careers conference provides a brilliant opportunity to be able to share the valuable labour market intelligence that is contained within the ESB’s skills evidence base. The majority of the attendees work with young people on a daily basis, therefore it is vitally important that they can provide information on the careers and opportunities that exist in priority sectors across Essex.

Network4Careers was launched by the Centre for Career and Personal Development at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2014 to provide a platform for the sharing of good practice and research in careers work and for keeping up to date with new developments and policies. It is open to careers practitioners and those interested in careers work.

Members of Network4Careers meet each term; in the autumn and spring for twilight sessions and then in the summer term for a one day conference.
