Can your skills and knowledge help Essex’s economy thrive and help drive private sector growth and job creation? Do you want to play a part in making Essex one of the best places in the country to live and work? If so then we need you.

The Essex Federated Board (EFB) is seeking board members to work together and provide leadership to tackle the economic challenges faced by businesses. These challenges include access to skills, transport infrastructure, digital connectivity and commercial space availability. We are therefore keen to hear from individuals who are capable of representing businesses from across Essex and can help make a difference. We are seeking 8 new business board members, one of which to be the Chair and a further two Vice-Chairs.

Overview of the Essex Federated Board:

This EFB is a new federated board for Essex, bringing together the strengths of the Essex Employment and Skills Board and the Essex Business Board. The board acts as one of four federated board for the South East Local Enterprise Partnership. The EFB works proactively and collaboratively to drive economic growth and prosperity. This is achieved through promoting economic opportunities, lobbying government, using evidence for strategic planning and by setting clear objectives.

Submitting your Expression of Interest

To express an interest in the board please complete the application form and email the completed form to essexfederated.board@essex.gov.uk. The deadline for submission is the 13th of June.

Applicants will be invited to an information morning on the 2nd July if you are unable to attend the information morning please let us know with your application and we will endeavour to make alternate arrangements for you.
