Postcard competition winner!

More than 1500 students and their parents from all the Uttlesford secondary schools attended the Uttlesford Schools Career Fair on the 10th of October.

The evening gave an opportunity for the ESB to showcase www.whatsyourthing.org.uk as well as our DELIVERIT Logistics VR experience. We had no shortage of people wanting to try out the VR as well as take home a copy of our 'Ultimate Guide to Getting a New Job in Essex' guide!

With more than 80 companies and higher education providers manning stands and giving talks during the evening, this was a great opportunity for students and their parents from all year groups to attend and explore the career opportunities that exist.

We ran our first ever careers postcard competition, whereby attendees collected stickers from companies representing our priority sectors in order to enter the prize draw. We are pleased to announce that our winner was Hamish, from Joyce Frankland Academy Newport.

Hamish said 'I found the Fair very interesting because I could see how what I wanted to do could be put into different jobs I had never thought about. I loved speaking to all the people on the stands as they were all so friendly. It was a great experience and would recommend it whether you know what you want to do when your older or if you don’t.'
