Professor Richard Clegg, Chief Executive of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation who commissioned the report, said: “The Academy’s report highlights just how complex the STEM education landscape is and how difficult it is for many organisations to engage with an issue that is so important to our future prosperity.” To read the full report, please click here.

The Board's own Education & Industry STEM programme aims to create a stronger correlation between the two circumstances by developing strong connections between the schools and local employers. With industry visits, work experience, projects and careers events having taken place in 30 schools across Essex in 2015, over 1,000 children have been able to engage with a STEM related activity, often supported by a local business in the relevant field.
